How are we Covid-Compliant?

Your child’s safety and security is paramount at all times.

Following advice from Public Health England and the Department for Education, we’ve worked hard to adapt our workshops and holiday courses to meet the latest government guidelines whilst maintaining all the benefits of our safe, confidence-building and nurturing environment; with evermore focus on their wellbeing and developing social skills.

While there will be changes in the way we do things, what won’t change is the energy and enthusiasm from our practitioners, our innovative workshop material and the performance skills that your child will develop at every ShowKids encounter.

Below are some of the measures we’ve put in place to keep your child safe:

After-school workshops:

  • New maximum class sizes are set with reference to government guidelines.
  • All contact surfaces are sanitised between each workshop.
  • Registration takes place at the start of each workshop on the venue door, without the need for parents to enter the building.
  • Children are asked to use hand sanitiser before entering the space and is available at all times during workshops.
  • Contact surfaces are sanitised between sessions.
  • Practitioners remain 2 metres from children at all times.
  • Parents are asked to take their child’s belongings home during workshops.
  • All of our activities have been adapted so that no contact or direct handholding will take place.
  • All costumes and props are quarantined prior to being used and wiped before and after use.
  • Practitioners will wear a mask, gloves and an apron when administering any first aid.
  • All of our ShowKids Lead Practitioners have up-to-date paediatric first aid training.

Holiday courses:

  • New maximum course sizes will be set with reference to government guidelines.
  • ‘Meet and greet’ will take place at the start of the holiday course on the venue door, without the need for parents to enter the building or congregate in the foyer.
  • Children will be asked to use hand sanitiser before entering the space.
  • Surfaces including door handles, props and tables will be regularly wiped down.
  • Windows open during the workshop for ventilation.
  • Practitioners remain 2 metres from children at all times.
  • All of our activities have been adapted so that no contact or direct hand-holding will take place.
  • Children will be reminded not to share food or drink and will be asked to wash their hands before and after they eat.
  • All costumes and props will be quarantined prior to being used and wiped before and after use.
  • Hand washing will take place at regular intervals.
  • In line with the new guidance practitioners will wear a mask, gloves and an apron when administering any first aid.
  • All of our ShowKids Lead Practitioners have up to date paediatric first aid training and qualifications.

You can feel confident knowing our workshops and holiday courses are as safe as we can possibly make them.
