4-7yrs ‘Jungle Book’ Inspired Show Week
Your child will have the opportunity to create a performance inspired by the musical ‘Jungle Book’. Children will work alongside professional performing arts practitioners and will be guided to develop their skills in drama, dance and singing. They will interpret and create a variety of characters inspired by the show and will take part in the making of the set, props and costume.
Your child will:
- Be taught by industry and educational professionals from the performance sector.
- Develop their speech, group work, communication and social skills.
- Develop skills in acting, dance and singing.
- Take part in the making of set, props and costume.
- Make new friends through collaborating with other children throughout the week.
- Present a showcase of the work created to invited parents at the end of the week.
7-12yrs ‘Lion King’ Inspired Show Week
Your child will have the opportunity to create a performance inspired by the West End show ‘Lion King’. Children will work alongside professional performing arts practitioners and will be guided to develop their skills in drama, dance and singing. They will interpret and create a variety of characters inspired by the show and will take part in the making of the set, props and costume.
Your child will:
- Be taught by industry and educational professionals from the performance sector.
- Develop their speech, group work, communication and social skills.
- Have the opportunity to sing and act solo lines.
- Develop skills in acting, dance and singing.
- Take part in the making of set, props and costume.
- Make new friends through collaborating with other children throughout the week.
- Present a showcase of the work created to invited parents at the end of the week.
12-16yrs – Acting and Movement
This course is offered to those wishing to develop a deeper understanding of acting and movement through the exploration and study of advanced techniques. Your child will be led by a professional actor and dance specialist to create work as part of an ensemble, in preparation for an end-of-week performance.
Your child will:
- Explore and develop a deeper understanding of acting techniques.
- Explore devised work, staging, improvisation and script.
- Take part in independent and directed rehearsals.
- Explore contemporary choreography and physical movement.
- Experience an insight into the styles of theatre practitioners.
- Develop confidence, imagination and creative thinking skills.
- Enhance their social and communication skills.
This course is suitable for children of all abilities.
The Easter ShowWeek courses cost £190 for 4 days – 9.30am-3.30pm
Early-bird drop-off £240 – 8.30am-4.30pm
