How will your child benefit?
Our MiniKids drama workshops are full of fun, energy and collaboration! They are the perfect place for your child to develop their confidence and creativity, express their individuality and learn new performance skills. From the moment they are welcomed into a ShowKids workshop, our caring practitioners will ensure your child feels secure to join in, interact with others, and begin their journey with us discovering the thrill of the Performing Arts.

What happens in a MiniKids workshop?
Every MiniKids workshop begins with an energetic movement or dance warm-up to shake off the school day and refocus on the fun ahead! Our practitioners will ignite your child's imagination as they explore enchanting stories and theatrical genres, bringing characters and scenes to life and immersing themselves in performance. Workshops culminate with fun dance choreography linked to characters, stories and skills explored during the class!
Children explore the magic of drama through:
- Movement and Dance
- Voice projection, clarity and articulation
- Role-play
- Characterisation
- Body language, facial expression and gesture
- Group work
- Improvisation

Who leads our workshops?
We have an amazing team of highly-qualified practitioners providing opportunities in every workshop for your child to immerse themselves in the wonder of theatre and performance. All our Lead Practitioners have trained at prestigious Performing Arts Schools or have an abundance of theatrical teaching experience. We have a rigorous recruitment process in which all practitioners are subject to comprehensive background DBS checks and complete online child protection courses.

How will you know how your child is progressing?
Parents receive personalised written feedback every term on their child’s development and successes, and our practitioners are always contactable if you have any questions.
MiniKids share performance work at 2 stages throughout the year, allowing you to regularly celebrate your child’s achievements.
We are not an acting agency, however we regularly forward casting and voice work opportunities if requested.
How is ShowKids different to other theatre schools?
We are a local, independent East London company- not a large franchise. Our original content, themes and projects are created by Natalie and adapted by our practitioners for each individual class. The content of your child’s workshops will be carefully created and tailored to their needs, interests and abilities, to ensure they grow in confidence and progress at their own pace. We incorporate simple mindfulness techniques into our workshops to improve focus and well-being.

How much do workshops cost?
We pride ourselves on providing outstanding but affordable performing arts training. Our workshops cost just £40 per month, with sibling discounts available. To make payments easier to manage, you simply set up a monthly direct debit paid throughout the year. You have complete control, and can cancel payments at any time with a month’s notice.
We are thrilled that many children who started with us as Minikids have grown through our MidiKids courses and are now graduating to our BigKids classes! We know your child will love our workshops. Book their FREE trial workshop today.
