While our core purpose at ShowKids will always be to develop the confidence, communication skills, creativity and self-belief of children, it is nevertheless an exciting prospect for some to audition for roles on stage or on screen.
We are excited to announce that ShowKids has partnered with Hashtag Talent Agency to offer interested BigKids and parents the opportunity to register with a reputed, family-run acting agency and be put forward for auditions for TV, film, radio and theatre.
Hashtag Talent Agency is a nationwide agency that provides children with work within film, TV, commercials, voice-overs and theatre. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, it is run by two mums whose own children have successfully auditioned for many roles, and they are well-placed to support ShowKids parents through the process of registering and attending auditions while ensuring that the experience is positive, and that children are well-prepared and able to balance their education with auditions. Each and every child is important to them and they work with parents and casting directors to ensure children have a fun, safe and an amazing experience!
If you and your child are interested in this opportunity, please email or phone Natalie or Tom and they will be able to go through the process with you and give you more information. All interested ShowKids will be invited to an audition workshop at which parents will be able to meet Tracy and Annie from Hashtag and ask any questions they might have. This opportunity is only available to MidiKids and BigKids currently enrolled at ShowKids Theatre School. There will be no cost to attend the audition, and all children who are not offered representation will be given detailed feedback on the aspects of their acting to develop in their ShowKids workshops before re-applying.

HUGE congratulations to Livia; one of our Stoke Newington ShowKids, for securing a London theatre role! She will be appearing in the National Theatre’s production of The House of Bernarda Alba alongside Harriet Walter (Succession)!
