How will your child benefit?
A MidiKids Acting workshop is a fun-filled, nurturing learning experience for children! Every workshop is designed to enthuse and challenge your child through carefully-planned drama activities. Your child will be guided to express themselves confidently, make new friends and discover their potential - on stage and off. Children also learn simple mindfulness techniques to improve wellbeing and increase their focus on the fun ahead!
What happens in a MidiKids workshop?
In our MidiKids workshops, children start to explore a wider range of acting skills and techniques which enhance their imagination and creativity. Our courses are developed to cater for children of all abilities and levels of confidence, as they explore material and genres including Musical Theatre, Physical Theatre, Script work, Shakespeare, Dance, Comedy and more! Our innovative curriculum provides children with well-rounded tuition in the Performing Arts.
Material is explored through:
- Stimulus devising and improvisation
- Character development
- Use of voice (pitch, projection, clarity, tone, pace)
- Movement, physicality and body language
- Script work, staging and transitions
- Group work
Who leads our workshops?
We have an amazing team of highly-qualified practitioners providing opportunities in every workshop for your child to immerse themselves in the wonder of theatre and performance. All our Lead Practitioners have trained at prestigious Performing Arts Schools or have an abundance of theatrical teaching experience. We have a rigorous recruitment process in which all practitioners are subject to comprehensive background DBS checks and complete online child protection courses.

How will you know how your child is progressing?
Parents receive personalised written feedback every term on their child’s development and successes, and our practitioners are always contactable if you have any questions.
MidiKids share performance work at 3 stages throughout the year, allowing you to regularly celebrate your child’s achievements.
We are not an acting agency, however we regularly forward casting and voice work if appropriate opportunities arise.
How is ShowKids different to other theatre schools?
We are a local, independent East London company- not a large franchise. Our original content, themes and projects are created by Natalie and adapted by our practitioners for each individual class. The content of your child’s workshops will be carefully created and tailored to their own needs, interests and abilities, to ensure they grow in confidence and progress at their own pace. We incorporate simple mindfulness techniques into our workshops to improve focus and well-being.
How much do workshops cost?
We pride ourselves on providing outstanding but affordable performing arts training. Our workshops cost just £45 per month, with sibling discounts available. To make payments easier to manage, you simply set up a monthly direct debit paid throughout the year. You have complete control, and can cancel payments at any time with a month’s notice.
We are thrilled that many children who started with us as a Minikids have grown through our MidiKids courses and are now graduating to our BigKids classes! We know your child will love it too. Book their FREE trial workshop today.
