Come and join us for a wild ride through some of the most popular West End musicals! All musicals are adapted, if needed, to ensure they are completely age-appropriate. We will explore dances, songs and scenes from Dog Man the Musical, Mary Poppins, Fame, Honk, Matilda and Paddington!

Over the week, children will work alongside our highly skilled performing arts practitioners (all staff are musical theatre trained with BA Hons in Acting or Musical Theatre and/or have extensive industry and teaching experience) Our courses support and develop children’s performance skills, confidence and social skills through collaborative drama, singing and dance activities. No experience, some experience, tons of experience – all abilities welcome! All of this takes place in an inclusive and supportive environment where they can truly be themselves.

What a typical day looks like: 

• • Practical activities! Children will be split into age-appropriate groups to ensure they are fully confident to take part in acting, singing, dance warm-ups and games.
  • Rehearsals: Throughout the day children will learn a variety of songs, scenes and dances from each musical.
  • Playground play time: including ball games, hide and seek and parachutes!
  • Arts and crafts: Children will participate in arts and crafts at intervals throughout the day including, colouring, play dough and musical collages.

All children will:

• • Learn how to sing and belt out West End Songs! 
  • Learn fun choreography tailored to their age.
  • Rehearse and experiment with characters and scenes from West End musicals. 
  • Take part in arts and crafts, Easter egg hunts and outdoor playtime. 

Older children (8-14yrs) on the course will have the opportunity to…

• • Hone their performance skills, guided by their practitioners, working with their friends in groups on a variety of scripts – adding their own ideas to blocking and characterisation, before performing to peers. 
  • Refine choreography across the week – performing to peers. 
  • Develop their ability to sing as a soloist and ensemble cast, working on their clarity, projection and acting through song!

Content is tailored to children’s ages, confidence and abilities with lots of opportunities for them to add their own ideas and develop the scenes in their own way.

Our holiday courses are gender-neutral allowing children to explore and portray any character they choose.

Please note, this course does not include a performance at the end of the week (unlike some of our courses) and children will learn new content each day as well as building on material across the week.
