Confidence-building Performing Arts Workshopsfor children aged 4-16 in East London

Terms and Conditions

Enrolment Information:

  • We offer every child a free trial workshop before choosing to enrol, assuming we have availability in their chosen class.
  • Trial workshops must be booked in advance.
  • Children must be at least 4 years of age and in reception when they start with us, to ensure they are comfortable responding to instructions, and accessing a structured workshop.
  • ShowKids recognises that some children have additional needs or physical disabilities that require particular support and assistance. We will assess the individual needs of each child in consultation with parents prior to their attending ShowKids, and will make reasonable adjustments to ensure that- within the limitations of our resources and provision- all children can access our services and are made to feel welcome.
  • If offered a trial, children will be offered a place in that class, assuming that ShowKids staff are confident they can meet all medical and behavioural needs the child may have to effectively safeguard all children in the class, and to ensure that all children can enjoy and access our courses without interruption. If ShowKids practitioners believe they are unable to do this, then we will suggest a child reapplies later in the year.
  • If we decide that a second free trial is required, then we may offer this in consultation with parents.
  • Parents must provide ShowKids with accurate contact details and any medical or learning needs prior to a child’s first workshop.
  • It is our policy that all children wear a ShowKids t-shirt to their workshops as this helps to create a sense of community within the group, so please ensure your child brings theirs to every workshop.

Payment Details:

  • We provide workshops for 37 weeks of the year during term-time. The total cost of these is spread over 12 monthly direct debits paid on the date of your child’s first workshop, and taken on the same date each month- including any holiday months- to make sure all workshops are paid for across the year.
  • When your child starts with us, we take an upfront payment for the first and last month’s workshops. If you need to cancel your child’s place, we require just one month’s notice so just send us an email and we’ll cancel your payment and let you know your child’s last workshop date.
  • Your child’s place is reserved exclusively for them regardless of attendance, so we are unable to refund if you cannot attend for any reason. You can, however, attend a catch-up workshop on an alternative day. Please contact us to arrange this.
ShowKids Code of Conduct

At ShowKids, our aim is to provide a fun, creative and inclusive experience for all children so that they feel safe and confident to explore and express themselves through drama, singing and dance. We have a duty of care to all our ShowKids and their parents to ensure every child gets the most out of every workshop and holiday course. All ShowKids are encouraged to be supportive of the efforts, successes and inhibitions of others, and ensure they meet the four expectations that we have of every ShowKid:

  • To demonstrate kindness to others
  • To listen and respond to all instructions given by practitioners first time
  • To support and encourage the efforts of other children
  • To respect and believe in themselves!
We will work with the parents and carers of all children who need extra support to follow these expectations to ensure they have every opportunity to enjoy our workshops. On the rare occasions that a child does not respond to this support, we may recommend that a child pause their attendance for a period of time.

Cancellation of Holiday Courses:

  • All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
